2 Bedroom Fixer Upper in Iowa


Up for auction, is a 2 bedroom 1 bath fixer upper located in Corwith, Iowa. A North Central Iowa town of approximately 400 people. The house sits on a lot approximately 60' wide by 165' long M/L. Which is approximately .23 of an acre more or less. The house comes with a nice sized detached garage that sits back from the house just a little ways and is painted the same color as the house as the pictures show.

The house is a ranch style house. The roof appears to be in good shape. The house is close to the local school district. You can see the schools athletic fields from the back yard of the home. The house sits in a nice clean neighborhood with lots of nice homes surrounding it. The house is on City water and City Sewer.

The interior of the home consists of a family room, kitchen, full bathroom and 2 bedrooms and full basement. When you enter the house there is an enclosed front porch that has 2 really nice built in corner cabinets. The inside of the house does need some work and updating but it appears to be a house with a lot of character and potential. There are lots of cabinet space in the kitchen. The bedrooms are nice sized. There is a nice sized family room with a window air conditioner in it. I haven’t had it on so I can’t guarantee that it works. Most of the house is carpeted but there are a couple of rooms with hardwood floors and the bathroom and kitchen have linoleum floors. The utilities are on at the house and the heat has been on to keep the pipes from freezing, however, I haven’t been to the house personally, so I haven’t seen them work myself, so I can’t guarantee that they work but I am assuming that they do. I haven’t used the plumbing, so I can’t guarantee anything about the plumbing. The house also has a full unfinished basement where the furnace and hot water heater are located. Both the furnace and hot water heater appear to be of the newer style, however, I have not had them on, so I can’t guarantee them. The furnace is a forced air natural gas furnace.

Corwith is a small rural community with approximately 400 people. It appears that property values in this area are on the rise. Corwith is only 40 miles from Clear Lake, Iowa where there is lots of shopping and restaurants. Corwith is also 115 miles north of Des Moines, Iowa and 145 miles south of Minneapolis Minnesota.

Remember, this home is a fixer-upper and does need work. When completed, this house would be a charming house and would make an excellent rental or starter home, it would make for a great flip. I do not guarantee anything about the house and is sold AS IS, WHERE IS.
